Jimmy Hanks, 87, died Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born February 28, 1936 in Florence, Alabama to Reeder Lee and Lorene (Terrell) Hanks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reeder and Lorene Hanks; one brother, Robert Lee Hanks; one sister, Mary Welch; one son, Jimmy Wayne Hanks; one daughter, Vicki Kueneman and one niece, Lori Burke.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Marie Hanks; six children, Terri Colvin of Oklahoma, Georgia Cowell of Clarksville, Tina Milstead of New Blaine, Betsy Hanks of Florida, Thomas Hanks of Scranton and Daniel Hanks of Scranton; three nephews, Walter Welch of Van Buren, Randy Hanks of Oklahoma and Sam Hanks of Oklahoma; two nieces, Liz Welch of California and Maria Mitchell of Oregon and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members and friends.
