Irene Miller Rodkin was born in Bronx, New York on Nov. 11, 1926. Irene graduated from LaGuardia High School of Music, Art & Performing Arts. She studied at the Traphagen School of Fashion. She won First Place in a Mademoiselle Nationwide Design contest. She worked at Goldsmith's Department Store as head Designer and Layout Artist. Her fashion designs were frequently featured in Retail Ad Week. One of her designs of dress generated sales of $95,000 in one day.
Irene was a member of the Delta Artists Society in West Memphis and participated in art shows where she won various awards. Irene was a very talented artist, especially in portraits.
Irene passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto after a brief illness on Dec. 5, 2023.
She is preceded in death by her father, Frederick Miller, her mother, Irene Miller, and her brother, Frederick Miller, Jr.
