Roseanna Kathaleen Arter, age 84, of Juddville, Arkansas passed from this earthly life on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born in Chimes, Arkansas on June 16th, 1939 to Russell Jones and Nettie Judd Jones.
Kathaleen attended the New Beginnings Church in Dennard along with several area churches. She worked as a nursing assistant for 20 plus years at Area Agency on Aging. She liked to play dominoes and enjoyed sewing, gardening and flowers. Kathaleen was an excellent cook and would feed anyone who came through the door. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her.
Survivors include her children, Jerry Arter of Witts Springs, Larry Arter of Marshall, Karen Flud (Tommy) of Hasty, Sharon Grant (Doug) of Dardanelle, Sherry Davis of Russellville and Kerry Balentine (L.K.) of Clinton; grandchildren, Shane Flud (Melissa), Tamara Henderson (Patrick), Krista Flud, Casey Milsap (Josh), Logan Arter (Brandi), Katelyn Arter, Chasity Anderson (Randy), Tessa Galarza (Jeff), Chad Grant (Stephanie), Latosha Taylor, Ryan Arter, Nakeista Southall (Kyle), Tyranee Balentine, Kiaura Collins (Kelley), Addison Balentine, Sierra Arter and Cullen Arter; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Angeline Turner of Frederick, OK; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Barron of Oklahoma City, OK and Carolyn Kramp (Paul) of Anadarko, OK and many extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Kathaleen is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nettie Jones; her husband, Jackey Leon Arter who passed away in 2017; son, Jackey Allen Arter; grandson, Traven Arter; brothers, Marvin Jones and Jessie Jones; sister, Louise Edwards; daughter-in-law, Margie ''Susie'' Arter and son-in-law, David Davis.
Funeral services for Kathaleen will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 5th, 2024 at New Beginning Church near Dennard, Arkansas with Bro. Darrell Black officiating. Special music will be performed by Tamara Henderson, Shaylen Ricketts and Red Wolf. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday, January 4th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas. Burial will be in Archey Valley Cemetery. Bearers will be Shane Flud, Ethan Flud, Chad Grant, Ryan Arter, Keedon Schaffer and Darrian Thomas. Honorary bearers will be Josh Milsap, Mason Galarza and L.K. Balentine.
