Glenda’s passing came as a real shock to me. We were colleagues at the University of the Ozarks for several years. I was Chair of the Division of Education and she headed the Elementary Education Program. She also taught courses in Special Education. Glenda was absolutely
indispensable as a teacher and administrator. Her students loved her and her good advice for improving the Elementary Education Program was instrumental in helping Ozarks achieve national accreditation for its teacher education programs. She was a good friend and colleague. I will miss her…

I’m searching for words to express adequately and accurately who Glenda was to me. She was my mentor teacher when I graduated from UAFS and my advisor when I began. She was a beautiful light. She was kind, courageous, fun, and confident. She was one of a kind, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to be a tiny piece of her life, and grateful for the role she played in mine. My heart breaks, but also rejoices for her family. There is no doubt that she is walking streets of gold. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this painful time.
Glenda was such a sweet person who would help you in words and actions. She was so kind to everyone. I have lots of memories with her at school and she helped me so much in the teaching field. She loved teaching and she loved life. A true Christian evangelizing not just in words but by her actions as well. God help you all find comfort in knowing this. You all have my deepest sympathy.
Glenda was a true Christian. She helped to form many children into educated members of society. Her knowledge was extensive of many subjects and she shared it with those around her. Her voice was beautiful and when she sang you could feel the music. I call myself blessed to be able to call her my friend. I’ll miss her but I know she has reached her goal. She is in the presence of her Heavenly Father and her father who she missed so much.

So sorry Kenneth prayers for you and the family Glenda was a wonderful person
Glenda blessed so many lives by giving whatever was needed at the time — food, clothes, a listening ear, a smile. She loved the Lord and served Him in all she did. Glenda and Ken were a good team.
Also, Glenda managed to be involved in so many projects, and I believe she loved every one of them. Like so many others who expressed their sympathies, I know we will always miss Glenda.
Our condolences go to Ken, the Ezell Family, and the Varnell family.

There are few people I admired more than Glenda. She embodied the heart, soul, and spirit of teaching, and was endlessly interested in so many things. She was always willing to share ideas and do whatever it took to get things done-on top of being beautiful! She was a gift, but she can now rest in peace of our Father’s kingdom. I’m so sorry for your loss.
