Johnie Alonzo Noricks passed away peacefully from this life on December 9, 2023 at the Blossoms in Mountain View at the age of 80. He was born on September 15, 1943 to Alonzo and Helen (Timberlake) Noricks, who both preceded him in death. He was a cheerful brother, uncle, great uncle and cousin who could always find time to tell a story to make you laugh. He was a hardworking, Christian man and a member of Arbanna Baptist Church.

Johnie's early life consisted of training and caring for horses. Noricks Stables was his career, though he talked often of laying hardwood floors and other side jobs when needed. Many stories of great race horses could be heard on any given day. He knew horses and could give you advice on every aspect of them.

Throughout the years Johnie continued to love the outdoors. His nephews have fond memories of hunting and fishing trips and his father and him would travel to Arkansas to hunt deer often.

Later in life, he moved back to Mountain View with hopes of one day having a herd of cattle. The cattle never quite happened, but his Arkansas relatives enjoyed his moving here. Many BBQ's, birthdays and holidays were spent together with him here.

He is survived by his sister, Dollie Carroll; his niece, Hollie Carroll and his nephews, Jimmie Carroll and Jerry Carroll all of Michigan; as well as a large host of great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmie Noricks and sister, Erma Gay Noricks.

Graveside services are Friday, December 15, 2023, 2:00PM at Noricks Chapel Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Jim Chandler officiating.

Pallbearers are Braiden White, Phillip Swafford, Shane Swafford, Daniel Swafford, Devon Lawson and Johnny Ryun. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Carroll, Jerry Carroll and Brian Stoltze.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
