Bertha Mae Sutliff, 76, of Subiaco, Arkansas passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 in Subiaco. She was born on July 15, 1947 in Ventura, California to her parents, Eugene William and Dora Louise (Schouweiler) Huber.
Bertha was a 1965 graduate of Paris High School. After graduating, she married Robert Sutliff on November 28, 1965 in Poteau, Oklahoma. Bertha worked at the pants factory in Paris and had a daycare for many years, but her most accomplished and proudest work was being a homemaker. She loved catfishing with her boys, proudly out fishing them most of the time, sewing, cooking and working in her flower beds. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Charles William Huber; one son, Robert Shane Sutliff and one grandson, Joseph Sutliff.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Sutliff; one son, Jason Sutliff and wife, Ginger of Subiaco; two sisters, JoAnn Estala of Subiaco and Linda Lovan and husband, David of Subiaco; two brothers, Mike Huber and wife, Celeste of Subiaco and Randy Huber and wife, Kelly of Subiaco; four grandchildren, Johnnie Sutliff of Paris, Marcus Sutliff and wife, Leighann of Russellville, Cody Sutliff and wife, Cheyenne of Paris and Laurie Miller of Clarksville and four great grandchildren, River Charles and Creek Jenson Sutliff of Russellville and Meadow and Brooklyn Sutliff of Paris.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jeremy Jones with burial to follow in Wright Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie, Marcus and Cody Sutliff, Josh Lovan, Justin Estala and Eric Huber.

Bertha was a wonderful person, kind and fun. I first met her and Robert when they lived over and fed the inmates at the old jail attached to the City Hall. Prayers for family and friends. She will be missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Bertha Mae used to keep Adam before and after school. He loved going to Miss Berta’s house! Because of this love of his I was secure in the knowledge that he was getting great care. Kids don’t cry to go somewhere they are unhappy at.
