Charles Stanley Smith, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born in Jonesboro, AR on June 2, 1938 to Eugene and Mildred Smith. He was a long-time farmer, where he retired from farming cattle. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Norris Smith, Larry Smith and Darrel Smith.

Left to cherish the memory of Charles are his wife of 64 year, Patricia Smith; son, Michael (Jill) Smith; daughter, Dianne (Bruce) Nelms; grandchildren, Andrea (Brian) Pearson, Jillian (Michael) Harris, Maghen (Blake) Carpenter, Ginny (Sean) Robins, Ethan Nelms, Sydney Smith, Eli Mullins, Justin (Hannah) Mullins; great-grandchildren, Daxton, Drake, Riley, Evan, Piper, Emma, Conner, Alayne, Scarlett, Luke, Charley and one on the way and brother, Noel (Frances) Smith.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 22, 2023 at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro, AR, with Rick Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

A visitation will precede the service beginning at 9:00am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Charles' name to Pine Log Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.
