Manuel Dean Williams was born on October 14, 1942 in Bauxite, Arkansas. He was the son of Thurman and Velma Camp Williams. He passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, November 12, 2024 at Saline Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. M.D. was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, James Williams, Shirley Johnson and Brenda Gwatney; wife, Hady Williams and stepson, Jeffrey Williams.
M.D. was a graduate of Sheridan High School and then served his country in the United States Air Force. He served two enlistments, including active duty during the Vietnam War. Following his service to the country, he worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal in security until his retirement.
M.D. loved his motorcycles and jumped at every opportunity for cross-country rides with his loyal friends in the Southern Cruisers Bike Club. When he wasn't riding long-distance, he would often be found hiking in the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains.
M.D. leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters, Mandy (Jim) Gardner and Shelly Sawyer. Four grandchildren who adored him as their "Pawpoo", Bo and Coco Sawyer and Trae and Tori Gardner. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Johnson; dear friends, Tip and June Hockersmith and many buddies from Southern Cruisers.
The family invites all who knew and loved M.D. to a visitation on Friday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., both at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home.
The family would like to offer their deepest gratitude to Dr. Matthew Steele and all the compassionate ICU Nursing Staff at Saline Memorial Hospital for going the extra mile in caring for M.D. Also, to Jessica Faulkner from Saline Hospice who exhibited extraordinary care and grace during M.D.'s final hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged in memory of M.D. to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Donations may also be given online at stjude.org/donate.

I didn’t spend much time with him but he was an awesome uncle. He always treated me like i belonged and was family. I will love and miss him. I’m so sorry i couldn’t be there today. I’ve been sick and didn’t want to give anyone my sickness. I’m very sorry for the family loss. And i love everyone one. My family sends their deepest condolences
