Bob Onderbeke, 78, of Pangburn, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, November 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard Onderbeke and Marjorie Stodd Onderbeke; brother, Jerry Onderbeke and sisters, Sandy Bolser and Sally Turner. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lancene Onderbeke; brother-in-law, David Cleveland; daughter, Shelly Leck and husband, Troy; grandson, Dean Leck; granddaughter, Tory Leck, many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Bob was born May 20, 1945 in Moline, Illinois. Al the age of 15, he made his home in Little Rock, Arkansas and attended Central High School. As a young man, Bob worked as an electrician, boat builder and various other jobs until 1967, where he began employment at McMillan Bloedel Container (now Weyerhauser) as a Production Supervisor until his retirement.
Bob was an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He loved his church and church family. He was an avid fisherman. He especially enjoyed trout fishing on the Little Red River and fishing trips to Louisiana to inshore fish. After retirement, he volunteered for a number of years at Lawson Elementary School (PCSSD) as a Book Buddy and mentor. He worked with Special Olympics as well. He loved to golf and take family road trips, covering most of the mainland of the United States. National Parks and historical sites were favorite places to visit.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023 in the Chapel of Roller Drummond Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elwin Ollar officiating. Interment will be at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle, Arkansas.

I've known Bob for 35 years. I met him in the masonic lodge. He was a good man and had a great heart. He was the most honest man I ever met. I have been out of the lodge for 20 years and had lost touch. He is well thought of and he will be missed. To his family l offer my condolences and prayers.

Lancene, I did not get the chance to know Bob personally, but all I had to know was that you loved him and that made him a very special man. I am so thankful for the years you had together and I know you will miss him terribly. Please know our family loves you and your family and we always have.
