James Roy Latham, 76, of West Memphis, AR, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. He was born to Harvey E. Latham and Melaine Havens on February 27, 1947. James was a member of the Free of Life Church. He owned his own business called Roy Latham's Garage where he worked as a technician. James loved to build crosses, bird houses, playing piano, singing gospel, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Tonya Elizabeth Latham; sister: Cynthia.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Latham; sons: James Roy Latham Jr., Joey Latham; stepsons: Cary Scarbrough, and Steven Scarbrough; daughters: Debbie Ferrell and Tammy Pirtle; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; bothers: Harvey Latham, Mike Havens, Tommy Havens, Buck Havens; sisters: Linda, Grace, Patty, Sandy, and Brenda.
Relatives and friends are invited to James Roy Latham's graveside service on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, located at Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery under the pavilion at 2:00pm with Brad Roe officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home West Memphis.

Patsy, Jeannette and I pray for your well being at this most difficult of times.We didn't know you very well but remember the two of you as neighbors on Danner Street. I knew Roy way back when he had Latham's Auto. He was one of the most honest businessmen I've ever known and became a trusted friend. He had a soft and kind word for all the people in his life. I am certain Roy rests in peace.

Roy, my brother, a man who loved God and his family. I know that you were welcomed into heavens with the angels singing. You will be loved and missed by so many.
I am so sorry for your loss Patsy. Even though we haven't seen one another in such a long time. Roy was one of a kind soul! This is such sad news.

Rest in love Mr Roy. I met my husband, William, at your shop. You were like a father to him. When we were newlyweds and became new parents, you helped us more than you know and we are forever grateful.
