Mrs. Ina Martin, 105, of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Craighead Nursing Center. She was born April 3, 1918 in Paris, AR to Lonnie and Mae Rodgers Bowles. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and St. Bernards Auxiliary, a bookkeeper for the Log Cabin Democrat Newspaper and volunteer for the Craighead County Library. She also loved reading, gardening and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Edward Martin and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories are daughter, Katherine (Jerry) Farris; grandchildren, Whitney (Eric) O'Neal and Caitlin (Chris) Knight and great-grandchildren, Cade, Elliett, Eden, Charlie, Harrison and Eliza Lou.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in her memory to the First United Methodist Church, Craighead County Library or Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Kathy, I knew her for years when I worked at the Public Library. She was the true definition of a beautiful person. Always kind and caring. I feel honored to have known this dear friend. I’m happy to see that she lived to 105. I’m sorry I didn’t see her obituary sooner. Sending you prayers for peace and comfort.

I loved my second mom, my little traveling buddy ,my dear friend so much. We talked and laughed together and I will miss her . I drew from her wisdom and love.
