Alesia "Penny" Ann Odom

of Horseshoe Lake, AR

February 20, 1954 - October 21, 2023

Penny Brown Odom (Nanny), age 69, of Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas, left this world on October 21, 2023. She was greeted at the gate of Heaven by her beloved Buff with a big grin and open arms. You can only imagine the tears of joy she shed when she realized she was home.

Penny was born on February 20, 1954, to Joseph Carroll Brown and Donna Daughety Brown of Earle, AR. She was second born of three Daughters. (She always had a devious little chuckle when she told people she was the middle child.) She served her country for two years in the United States Army and retired as an Office Manager that loved retirement.

Penny was of Christian faith and believed in eternal life with the Lord. She had a big personality that made people want to be near her. She was a dedicated Arkansas Razorback, Memphis Tigers, and Memphis Grizzlies' fan. She loved reading, traveling, concerts, ball games and spending time with family and friends. Her children and grandchildren lit up her world and her beautiful blue eyes.

Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Artie ''Buff'' Odom; her parents, Donna Daughety Miller and Joseph Carroll Brown; stepparents, Jenny Burke and James Miller; sister, Donna ''Binky'' Schooley; two stepsons, David and Keith Odom; and nephew, T.J. Miller.

Penny leaves behind two children, Billy Joe (Casey) Leaptrot, of Panama, OK, and Mickey Leaptrot of Marion, AR; two grandsons, Cole and Tucker; sister, Sandra Kaye (Billy) Skillern, of Horseshoe Lake, AR; one stepson, Michael Odom; one nephew, Jeremy Hitchcock; two nieces, Lisa Bass and Jeanna Baker; her two adored fur babies, Alley Cat and Maggie may; and many other family members and friends.

Our Penny will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
