Michael Hampton, 73, of England, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 23, 2023. He was born September 17, 1950 in Newport, Arkansas. He was a member of Keo Community Church, Keo, Arkansas.
Mike loved his church and church family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and retired from JB Hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Jo and Marvin Short and Bobby Lee Hampton; grandmother, Lois Josephine Woody; wife, Betty Jean Jackson; two sons, Tracy Hampton and Larry Dean McElroy, Jr. and sister, Shirley Short Halferty.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie May Hampton of England; sister, Donna (Carroll) Hardin; two daughters, Joanna Hampton and Jaime McElroy Harris; two sons, John Hampton and Allen (Jean) McElroy; Uncle Troy (Sonny) Jones; his very special friend, Ronnie (Kathy) Grace and many nieces; nephews and grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home, England, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 pm, followed by the memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
