Patti Denise Franklin

of West Memphis, AR

March 5, 1949 - October 24, 2023

Patti Herron Franklin, born March 5th, 1949 in Mangum, OK went to meet her husband, Paul, at the pearly gates on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023. She is preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Velma Herron also of Mangum, Oklahoma; her brothers, Doc and Dale; as well as her daughter in law, Amanda Franklin. She is survived by 4 children, David (Ashley), Craig (Mary), Kelli (Jerry) and Jonathan; 11 grandkids, Kaleb, Kelsi, Mariah, Kaylee, TJ, Makenzie, Trinity, Madi, Bella, Lexi, Caden and 14 great grandkids.

As a young girl, she loved working with her Daddy in his grocery store where she had both of her considerably older brothers wrapped around her finger. Later she and Paul met at community college in Altus Oklahoma, when Paul saw her from afar and called out, ? Hey Green Girl", as she was wearing a green dress. This immediately became his favorite color. They married soon after on November 25, 1967 and later Paul enlisted in the US Army. They shared a deep love and commitment to each other until Paul's passing in February 2022.

No matter where they lived, she was very active in the church, especially in the music ministry, often playing piano and singing all the classic hymns. She enjoyed reading and studying the bible, bible study with her family, cooking, raising her children and being with and fiercely loving her family. She loved the roar under her seat and the wind in her face as she and Paul rode his motorcycles. She always had a smile on her face and her heart was always filled with love for others. She accepted everyone into her life and never met a stranger.

Memorial Services will be announced soon.

Memorials can be sent to: give.tithe.ly
