of Marshall, AR
November 18, 1959 - October 24, 2023
Randall L. Treadwell, or as friends and family affectionately called him, Randy, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 at Cox Branson surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on November 18th, 1959. At the age of 9 months, Randy was given to his mother, Racine Treadwell Ragland. He was her baby from that point on.
At a young age, Randy made the most important decision any of us can make. He chose Jesus. While in the hospital, Randy rededicated his life to the Lord and spent his last days being a witness for his Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus 3:5 says, "He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit." On August 11th, 1978 he married Rita Horton of Marshall. They spent 45 years of love and devotion to each other. If we can think of two expressions to describe our dad, they would be hard worker and straight shooter. Oftentimes he was brutally honest with folks, but it was done out of genuine love and concern. Randy worked as manager of Harps for 23 years and Wal-Mart for 12 years. He was gifted with the ability to lead people. Later in life he worked at Buffalo Conservation District and as a farmer with his son, Cory and wife, Rita. Cory and Randy had a special bond and truly treasured each day they spent together on the farm. Randy's four grandkids were the loves of his life. We will miss our morning phone calls asking for advice from this very wise man. Randy's strong presence in our lives will be greatly missed.
Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Racine Treadwell Ragland; his father, Junior Treadwell and brothers-in-law, Donnie Sutterfield and Lewis Horton.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Treadwell of Marshall; his sons, Cory Treadwell and wife, Kelsey and Jeff Treadwell and wife, Jennifer both of Marshall; grandkids, Olivia, Leah, Grayson and Gage; siblings, Bill Ragland (Holly), Hughey Ragland (Kandy), Judy Sutterfield, Paul Treadwell and Julie Mae Cook; close personal friends, Pat Connors, Mike Gifford, Scott Daniel, Sharon Daniel and Daniel Terherst and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside services for Randy will be 10:00 AM Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at Red Hill Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Jordan Methvin officiating. Bearers will be Bill Ragland, Hughey Ragland, Tony Reznicek, Mike Gifford, Scott Smith and Nathan Treadwell. Honorary bearers will be Dillon Carr, Reagan Bell, Sid Lowrance, Brent Clark, Daniel Terherst, Steven Treadwell, Pat Connors, Freddy Horton and Ace Hensley.

Our hearts are so sad at the loss of such an amazing man. Randy was a fantastic manager, teacher and friend. He always lead by example. Making even a scolding a kind and learning moment. His patience was above and beyond most of us.
When he left Walmart most of us were lost without him there to teach, guide and help us. He taught us all about patience, kindness and helping our fellow man. There is so much that can be said about this man.
He even on his toughest days had a smile for others, loved his family deeply and it was like farming was part of his DNA.
He will be so missed, never forgotten for the gentle, caring human being that's Randy Treadwell.
May God grant you peace in your loss. Randy was always friendly and helpful in many ways. Prepare yourselves to meet him again.
