Later she worked in the gift-wrapping department of Titche's Department Store in Dallas. She had her own catering business that primarily served weddings. She made hundreds of wedding cakes in her small home kitchen. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock.
She married Gene Hilton in 1945, they lived together in Dallas and Little Rock until Gene's death. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person. She made people happy in her 98+ years of life. And she will be missed.
Her ashes will be placed in the columbarium at Second Presbyterian Church next to her husband in a private service. Neta and her father had Parkinson's Disease, as does her daughter, Beth and her son-in-law, Ed; so in lieu of flowers, please make any memorial gifts to The Parkinson's Foundation.
Laurie we pray God wraps his arms around you and your family through this difficult time.
Laurie and Ed, we were sorry to hear of the passing of Laurie’s Mom. You played an important role in keeping her as healthy and safe as possible in her latter years. We know she loved and appreciated you so. We are keeping you in our hearts.
