Paul Wesley Carr, 82, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born on Monday, August 18, 1941 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to the late William Carr and Cora Carr. Paul enjoyed spending time in his shop, making tools and gardening. Paul worked on his family farm for many years, WM Carr and Sons Trucking, as well as a millwright at P.E Barnes Sawmill.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Ruth Marie Carr; two sons, David Carr of Corinth, Mississippi and Brian Carr of West Helena, Arkansas; two daughters, Doris James (Kenny) of West Helena, Arkansas and Sandy Daugherty (Trey) of Hardy, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Mullins (Jack) of Helena, Arkansas, Mary Martin (George) of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Lois Phillips (Danny) of West Helena, Arkansas; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, William Carr; mother, Cora Carr; three brothers, Boyce Carr, John Carr and Tommy Carr; one sister, Ann Ginn and one daughter, Donna Buford.
A graveside service for Paul Wesley Carr will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the graveside service at Roller- Citizens Chapel in West Helena, Arkansas at 1:00 p.m. Brother Audi Richardson will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Carr, Brandon James, Cody James, Nick Crews, Randy Garcia and J.D. Oxner.

I cannot believe my papaw is gone. He was the best man I’ve ever known. No man will ever measure up to him and the hardworking man he’s been his entire life. We are all hurting, especially my grandma Ruth. We still needed him here, but I’m glad he’s no longer in pain. I can’t wait to see you in heaven papaw.
