of Benton, AR
August 4, 1945 - October 14, 2023
Hazel A. Glegg, age 78, of Benton, Arkansas joined her Savior in eternity on October 14, 2023. She was born August 4, 1945 in Fakenham, Norfolk, England to John and Ruby Glegg. She married Frank Stanislawski when she turned eighteen and embarked on a journey that brought her to the United States.
Hazel spent her initial time in the States as a Volunteer Services Coordinator with the United States Air Force, teaching others English as a Second Language and assisting military families in times of crisis. She was recognized as Volunteer of the Year numerous times and enjoyed serving others.
In later years, Hazel worked as a supervisor and then director of Environmental Services at Baptist Health and Easterseals Children's Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching her "stories" and eating gummy bears with her granddaughter, doting on her grandsons, decorating her home and playing a mean game of darts.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, John Glegg and Ruby Fuller Glegg Daykin; her infant son, Wesley James Stanislawski and her dearest friends who were family, Bill and Betty Campbell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Heidi Stanislawski Suchan; her grandchildren, Victoria Stanislawski, Mason Estes and Zane Suchan; her former son-in-law, Jeffery Estes; her goddaughter, Adriane Campbell-Gomez (Enrique); her best friend, Brenda Burrows and her former husbands, Frank Stanislawski and Bill Carlisle, Jr., with whom she remained great friends.
Hazel loved her position at Easterseals Children's Rehabilitation Center and adored the children there. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made specifically to Easterseals Children's Rehabilitation Center, 3818 Woodland Heights Rd, Little Rock, AR 72212, in honor of Hazel Glegg.
Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30 West, Little Rock, AR 72209.

Heidi, I’m so very sorry sweet friend for the loss of your Mum. I don’t know if I’ll be able to make it today. But, please know you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers today! We talked last week, but please don’t forget I’m just a text message or call away anytime day or night, today or a year later. My Dad passed from cancer 11 years and 9 days today and some days it still feels like it was last week. Just know Mum and I am sure many others are looking down from above and I am sure are very proud of the woman you have become! Friend and until next time.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom Heidi. She is a great woman and had an awesome personality. I'll be praying for you and family.
I am so sorry for your loss, Heidi. I knew Hazel for many many years and I loved her dearly. Your Mother was a wonderful lady. She will be greatly missed. Be at peace, my dear!
