Jack Lloyd Richardson was born October 16, 1936, in Comanche, Oklahoma, and passed from this life into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on October 2, 2023, at his home in Omaha, Arkansas in the presence of his loving family.
Jack was a proud Marine and retired as a Gunnery Sergeant after serving 20 years. He served three tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts and the Presidential Unit Citation, Air Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Bronze Star with Valor, and many other medals and commendations. He was also stationed in Japan and many duty stations in the United States. After retiring, Jack worked in the mining industry. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Burlington Baptist Church in Omaha, Arkansas.
Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Lois (Butler) Richardson, and two children, David Keith and Sonya Kaye Condon (Dave). He was a loving grandfather to Austin Jarrett Calloni (Hailey) who shares his birthdate. Also surviving him is his brother, Larry Fisher (Ruth), and sister, Kaye Quinn, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Frances (Flynn) Fisher and Lloyd Anthony Richardson, and step-father, Willis Wilbur (Bill) Fisher.
Services were held at the National Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri on October 6, 2023.
I’m so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. Ruth had told me he wasn’t doing well. Knowing Pat had her hands full I was hesitant to call.
Jack & Pat was a good neighbor for 10 years. They helped me in many ways…Jack helped me learn to use lawn mower and dr trimmer after my husband’s death. I’m sure he fought a valiant fight…now, Jack, rest in the arms of Jesus.
So sorry. I always enjoyed the visits with u when I worked on your taxes. Take care of yourself Pat. I know u will miss him.
