I am Chris Anne's mother. Many say things to the effect of, "I know my words don't help, but..." Please know your words and stories DO help. After the deep pain of loss, my next thought was that the world has to know how magnificent she was. Apparently y'all knew. We thank God for her life, for His nurturing of her through many challenges. And we thank you for sharing your memories. It means the world to us.
Chris Anne loved as unconditionally as anyone I ever knew. She sometimes questioned why the whole world couldn't just love each other. Let real, soul-deep love be her legacy.

Chris Anne was an absolute angel to all those she served. She was such a dependable and hard working nurse that gave 110% at all times to the extent of putting herself last. She worked hard educating herself and other staff to care for those she served. She loved her family to no end and this included her work family and residents as well. I am in utter shock she was taken so soon but, I know she will be one of the best in her new role with Jesus. Matt my prayers for you sweet friend…rest assured…she loved you fiercely and shared her story with me about the reunite you guys had saying that you two picked right back up where you left off many moons ago…she said you were truly her best friend. I am so sorry.

Sometimes in life you have friends who become your family. These are the people you choose to surround yourself with, and they color your life in ways you never thought possible. I met and became friends with Kevin in college, and through him I got to know Chris Anne. She had an infectious laugh, and she always made people feel at ease. I will miss her dearly. Justin, Lily, and I send all our love.

I’ve never been around someone going through health issues but still working and smiling like they didn’t have a problem in the world like Chris Anne did. She was always sweet, smiling and the most patient person to her patients I have ever seen, that’s hard to find in any nurse much less one that’s worked in LTC all those years. We could all take note and be a better nurse by being a little more like her. I know there are no words that are going to make her family feel better but I hope y’all are able to find peace and I will keep all of you in my thoughts.

To my oldest friends, my Vornheder family. I am in total loss for words. Chris Anne was just as much a sister as my own flesh and blood. She has watched over me since I was in diapers. She has nursed me when I was ill. I have so many memories of her that I will never forget. She was pure heart and love for all who needed it. My heart is so broken! May you all find peace in knowing that we will all get to see her again someday. It will be a wonderful thing. We all love you dearly and we are praying for you all in these difficult times. With all our love and sympathy.
