Jerry was a man of extreme integrity and honor and was filled with the Love of the Lord. He would tell people that if he died and they brought him back, he would kill them. He was always imagining just what glory of Heaven would be like.
His Huge smile never left his face. He lit up a room with his laughter and his unique antics. He could make you laugh just by talking to him. He never lost faith in people. He always thought there was good in everyone, you just had to get the junk out of the way first. His smile and laughter were infectious, he never let adversity get in his way. He was the light in every room.
He never met a stranger. He would strike up a conversation with anyone, and by the time he left, he had made another friend. He would always help anyone at any time.
Jerry married his wife, Denise Foster Carper, of 9 years on August 1, 2014. He never believed in calling our blended families by the title of "step". When addressing them or just talking about them to anyone, it was always "my son, My daughter, etc. He believed them to be his.
Jerry had a passion about fishing. He loved catching them but never wanted to keep them. His idea of retirement was fishing, fishing and more fishing. He also was a Flea Market junkie with a few Auctions thrown in. He loved roaming around flea markets finding what he called "priceless treasures". Another passion of Jerry's was a collector of anything "Godzilla".
Jerry adored his children, grandchildren and the great grandchildren. When asked how many he had, he would start naming them. He remembered all their names every time. He was so very proud of the children and the adults they had become.
Jerry was a Baptist with First Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Jerry was an auto mechanic before becoming a computer programmer. He retired from Arkansas Crime Information Center, where he was their Computer Programmer Manager.
Jerry will be missed by so many because he touched so many people's lives in one way or another.
Jerry left behind a strong foundation in which he will live on through his children and generations from them.
