Michael Wayne Owens, Sr., 62, of Batesville, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023.
He was born November 19, 1960 in Leland, Mississippi the son of Willie Lee Owens and Frances Mayo Chapman. He was preceded in death by his father.
Michael loved working on small engines, riding his four-wheeler through the woods, and aggravating his wife. He also loved the wind in his face while riding his motorcycle; he watched movies every night before bed and would sometimes share his goals and dreams with his soulmate. He will be very much missed and forever left a mark on our hearts that we could never forget.
Survivors include his mother, Frances Chapman of Florida; his wife of 22 years, Teresa Owens; one son, Michael Wayne Owens, Jr. of Mississippi; step-son, Timothy John Neal of Batesville; and a beautiful daughter, Chevy Tamara Davis (Scott) of Mississippi; three sisters, Ruthie, Linda, and Sherry; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
