of Little Rock, AR
August 31, 1952 - September 4, 2023
Billy Wayne Ingram, 71, died September 4, 2023 from an aortic aneurysm at CHI Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. Born August 31, 1952 in Pocahontas he was the son of Charles "Jack" and Virginia Ingram, both deceased.
He grew up and attended schools in Corning. He married Beth Hudson of Jonesboro on December 27, 1975 and they were married for almost 48 years, living in Little Rock. They had one son, Casey Ingram, with whom he enjoyed countless hunting and fishing trips and always enjoyed cheering on the Hogs together, including a trip to Omaha in 2019.
Bill retired in 2016 after closing ISTA, which he and his business partner Larry McMurry opened in 1983.
He enjoyed his retirement to the fullest, replying each day when asked what he had planned for the day, "Whatever I want to!". He especially loved his role as PapPap to his two grandchildren, participating in all their baseball, football, competition cheer and volleyball games. He also enjoyed swimming with them, teaching both to ride the four-wheeler and pretty much anything they asked him to do. He was putty in their hands! The rest of his days were spent hunting, fishing and travelling; and he especially enjoyed his annual "fishing" trip to Hot Springs with longtime friends. He also was a die-hard Arkansas Razorback fan, but only allowed to watch the game in the privacy of his den because of his inappropriate language!
The family Bill leaves behind include his wife, Beth; son, Casey and daughter-in-law, Emily; grandchildren, Kate and Fuller of Little Rock; his brothers, Bob (Becky) of Corning, Jim (Dorothy) of Houston, Arkansas and his sister-in-law, Gwen Dulin of Wynne and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves many close friends in Little Rock and Jonesboro, particularly his hunting, fishing and horse racing buddies.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service. Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Bill's life and memories at a visitation at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30 in Little Rock from 4:00-6:00 pm, Thursday, September 7.
Bill had a generous spirit which was demonstrated by the fact that he was an organ donor and gave generously to many charitable organizations. For those who wish to do so, he asked that memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice, Inc. (arkansashospice.org) and Mamie's Poppy Plates (mamiespoppyplates.com).
I reconnected with Bill a few years back at a class reunion and have been FB friends since then. He was always so positive and caring. His words often helped me deal with the recent loss of my own partner. Heaven is receiving a special one for sure. I send my heartfelt prayers to his family.
Sorry to hear about your loss Bill.
Beth so sorry to hear about Billy. Please know that you are closely held in our hearts and thoughts.

Dear Beth & family, there is nothing more that we can say than how deeply sorry we are. Please know we will be thinking of you all and sending our love.
We will miss our dear friend Billy. He always had a smile on his face, especially while watching the races at Oaklawn. He was a horse racing buddy. Sweet Beth, Casey and your entire family, may God keep you all full of the happy times you shared. Go Hogs (and long shots at the track). Much Love to you all.
Beth and Casey, Mike and I extend our sincere sympathy on your loss of Billy. He was such a genuine fun loving person. We will always remember the marathon water volleyball games at the Sullivan’s on Sundays. Thought and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead.
Bill and I grew up together, our family farms where we lived during our youths were joined.
We both attended elementary school at Datto before going to Corning for HS.
Bill was a good friend.
Always with a smile.
Beth,
Peace, love and light to you and your family. We love you. â¤ï¸
I am so very sorry Beth. Sending you love & hugs for a healing heart.
I just learned of Billy’s sudden passing. We grew up together in Corning, competing both with and against each other in football, basketball and baseball before graduating from CHS together in 1970. We lost touch after high school but have over the years occasionally run into each other at a Hog game……it was always great to see him. I am shocked and saddened by his passing. May God’s grace and comfort sustain all of his family and friends.
Love you brother. You are sure gonna be missed. You always had a smile and not just in retirement, you did say I will do whatever I want. Thanks to common friends, ISTA softball, and then Kristi’s family I was blessed to know you and have a couple cold ones with you. Prayers yo everyone that knew you Bill, love you and we will meet again. Do a woo pig with Papa for us.
Love you Beth, Casey, Emily and the rest of the Ingram family.
My heart is literally breaking for the loss of your soul mate, father, and grandfather! Billy will be missed by so many who loved him. He was a strong, giving man, and a wonderful husband and father! He was taken way too soon! May God give you strength and comfort in the coming days! I love you and will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
Beth,
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Praying for God's still, quiet voice to speak peace to your heart. - Dena Duckworth
So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Praying for comfort and peace for his family.
Volleyball and granddaughters brought Beth and Billy into our lives. We enjoyed many hours watching volleyball with them. We are praying for Beth, Casey, Emily, Kate and Fuller as they continue living without their husband, dad and grandfather. He will be missed. Steve and Sharon Lee
