of Benton, AR
August 23, 1960 - August 30, 2023
God called Brenda Gaye Nalley, 63, of Benton, Arkansas home to her final resting place with her Savior, family and friends who had passed on before her on August 30, 2023. She was a member of Kentucky Missionary Baptist Church. Brenda was born on August 23, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She moved to California with her family in 1965 and returned to Bryant, Arkansas in the mid-1970s, during a challenging time as a teenager, striving to make new friends and fit into a new school.
Brenda worked at the Woolco Department Store in Little Rock after her high school days, at Dillard's executive office in Little Rock, and briefly at Union Bank in Benton, before dedicating her life as a full-time mother to her children, their friends, her husband and family. While juggling carpool duties for her two boys and their friends, Brenda also found time to volunteer with the Saline Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and in the Benton School system, collaborating with the nurse for the students, all while keeping a watchful eye on her boys and extending help to others.
Brenda met her life partner and husband, Brian Nalley, in January 1978 and they married in October 1980. Together they raised two sons, Jared and Daniel Nalley, both of whom now reside in Little Rock, Arkansas. Brenda deeply cherished her relationships with her family, friends and everyone she met, always prioritizing their well-being over her own. Despite lifelong health struggles due to juvenile diabetes, Brenda consistently battled through challenges that intensified in her later years. Yet, she always found a way to check on the well-being of her family and friends more than herself. Brenda was blessed with five grandchildren. She would light up with love and joy just talking about them and couldn't resist buying clothes, toys and special treats at Sonic Drive-In. Brenda's life teaches us all to be kind to everyone, as it might be our last chance to do so.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Brian and her two sons, Jared and his wife, Megan and Daniel and his wife, Bethana. Her five grandchildren are Kaden, Ryker, Lilly, Ember and Theo Nalley. She is also survived by her mother, Martha Hall; her sisters, Patty Rickard, Peggy Sheeks, Jamie Teague; her brother, Jerry Teague and many nieces and nephews.
Services by Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home will be held at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, 402 Shenandoah, Benton, Arkansas, on September 5, 2023 with Bro. Donnie Haynes officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with the church service following at 2:00 pm and burial at Sharon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

I fondly remember Brenda from years ago when she and I were teachers’ helpers. Our sons were in the same class. During an outing to the zoo with the students, Brenda ensured that the kids had the most fun. Brenda was delightful, and I thought the world of her. I am heartbroken for Brenda’s family and friends. Praying for comfort for you all.

Brain and family,
Saddened to hear of your loss. Will never forget her sweet soul. She always had a kind word and often ask how my family was, knowing that a lot of the times she herself wasn’t feeling well. I remember her bringing several trays of food she had bought and prepared for the Holidays up to the clinic. I thought so much of Brenda and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. ðŸ™ðŸ»
