James Carroll Callahan, 79, of Benton passed away on August 27, 2023.
James was born in Traskwood, Arkansas to John and Elberta Callahan on July 15, 1944. He served in the United States Army and worked at Alcoa for forty-three years. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
James was survived by wife of 55 years, Kaye Callahan; daughters, Elizabeth Callahan-Fisher (Mark) and Katherine Knight (Matthew); grandchildren, Ally Beaird (Robert), Bren Axton Mitchell (still hoping for Johnny Depp), Brooke Shaw (Dillon) and Matilda Callahan; great grandchildren, Chloe Neal, Kylie Loredo, Deklyn Lyons, Bowen James Lyons, Kenley Shaw, Witten Beaird, Aspen Beaird and a host of nieces, nephews and life-long friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Stephen James Callahan.
A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held at Roller-Alcoa Funeral Home (6700 Alcoa Rd. Benton, AR 72015) on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 6 to 8PM.

So sorry for your loss. My husband, Don Friend, worked with James in the Mines at Alcoa for many years. He thought a lot of James. James was a good friend to him.
