Betty Godwin, 80, passed away on August 26, 2023 in Holly Springs, MS. She was born on August 1, 1943 in Memphis, TN to parents, Lester and Cornella Woodson.
Betty worked at Memphis Lamp Plant for 31 years, before retiring as a General Electrician. She was a very generous, kind and loving person. Her family called her ''Granny''. She loved to travel with her best friend and her caregiver of the last five years, Belinda Collins. She liked to fish, go boating and have a good time. Betty loved her dogs and cats.
Betty is survived by her son, Terry Wells and two grandchildren, April and Tyler.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Cornella Woodson; her daughter, Shelia Woodson and grandson, Christopher Wells.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Our Betty was a fun, generous and beautiful person, inside and out. So many fond memories of beach adventures. She is free and at peace now.
