Terry Randolph Ring

of Hardy, AR

December 19, 1941 - August 24, 2023

Terry Randolph Ring, a beloved resident of West Memphis, Arkansas and native of Dixie, Arkansas, has passed away at the age of 81. Surrounded by his loving family, Terry departed from this world on August 24th, 2023.

Born to Harvey and Mildred Ring, Terry was one of nine children, growing up in a close-knit family that instilled in him strong values and a deep sense of faith. Throughout his life, Terry exemplified these values, becoming a loving and God-fearing man who touched the lives of all those he encountered. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Hardy Arkansas.

Tragically, Terry was preceded in death by his son, Scott Ring, a loss that deeply affected him and his family. Scott's memory will forever live on in their hearts and Terry's love for his departed son remained a source of strength throughout his life.

Terry's devotion to his family was unparalleled. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 62 years, Peggy Ring, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Together, they raised four children who were the pride and joy of their lives. His sons, Randy and Tony Ring and his daughter, Laura Ring Givens, meant the world to him and he treasured every moment spent with them. Terry overflowed with love for his children and he was their unwavering pillar of support.

Terry's love extended beyond his immediate family, embracing his three daughters-in-law, Cheryl Ring, Lorie Ring and Carrie Ring and his son-in-law, Jeff Givens. He welcomed them into his family with open arms, appreciating the love and happiness they brought to his children's lives.

An adoring grandfather, Terry leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His face would light up with joy whenever they were around and he relished every opportunity to spend time with them, creating precious memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Terry was a well-respected member of the community, known affectionately as the "Wonder Bread Man." His generosity knew no bounds and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Terry's warm and welcoming nature meant that he never met a stranger, effortlessly forming connections with those he encountered. His genuine kindness and compassion left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Terry truly had a unique gift for making others feel loved and appreciated.

As we mourn the loss of Terry Randolph Ring, we also celebrate a life well-lived. His unwavering faith, love for his family and kind spirit will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Terry's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Terry Randolph Ring. Your spirit will forever guide us and your memory will forever be cherished.

My deepest condolences to your family. Terry was one of a kind. He always had the biggest smile on his face and he never had an unkind word to say. Everytime I saw him, he would say, "Hey girl" and I will miss hearing those words. I know I can speak for all of us at the bus garage when I say he will be deeply missed. We are all better people for knowing him. You will be in our prayers. Rest in peace Mr. Terry.

Dear Peggy and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of Terry and the smile and look of kindness on his face whenever I saw him in a store or at his home. He was the husband and father you all waited for at the end of the workday knowing that he’d be home soon and a role model for all the young fathers raising children and growing up in our neighborhood.
Peggy, I’ll never forget the birthday cake you made for Larry, Jr., when he was a little guy. It was wonderful!
Seeing Terry’s picture brings back such good memories of our young ones and happy, good old days when the world we lived in was safer, brighter and less stressful. Remembering those times and the good people like the Rings leave me with a smile on my face and a warm heart.
Praying that God will bless you all with peace and comfort in knowing that Terry is waiting to see all of you again in Heaven when God calls you home.

I’ve loved Pa and Ninny since my sister, Lorie married their Tony in 1985. They took Lorie “pookie “ in as their own and even accepted me and made me feel like family as I visited them almost daily. Their hearts were always full of love and joy; and their home was a happy one filled with laughter. I’ve never witnessed the gift of hospitality more than I have with the Ring family. Thank you for all the times you gave me a seat at your table. Pa will be greatly missed as the leader; but we grieve with hope knowing he is truly Home with The Lord and we will see him soon. Love you Ninny and the Ring family. ~Watty

I pray for your family and for comfort and peace during this time. May you all celebrate the life of Terry and share and share in precious memories of times together. I didn’t know Mr. Ring, but I know Tony and Lorie. Based on the obituary, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Tony and Lorie are wonderful examples of love and commitment to their family. Prayers again for you all during the days ahead for comfort.

Terry was just a fine man. I don't believe many can live a life of 81 years and never make an enemy, but because of his disposition, character, and true love of his fellow man; I can't imagine that he had one. He treated everyone with kindness and respect because that was his character. He was truly a man of character, honor, and honesty. Terry's life was a glowing example to all who knew him. This is his legacy! My heartfelt condolences to his family! God bless you all! I will always have fond memories of this wonderful man.
