Yvonne Akins, 87, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on August 18, 2023 and woke in the arms of her Savior. She was born May 31, 1936 to the late Okie and Martha Forshee in St. James, Arkansas.
Yvonne married the love of her life, Will Dean Akins and was married for 57 blessed years. She enjoyed her family life as a homemaker. Everyone that knew Yvonne knew that she was a hard working Christian lady. She loved the Lord and lived to serve him in all her ways. Yvonne was proud of her Methodist faith. She loved being at home cooking, canning and sewing. She cherished her family and enjoyed cooking for those she loved most in this world. Yvonne spent her time alone with her companion and friend, Tippy.
Yvonne is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Kevin) McGee of Rosie, Arkansas, Vickie (Randy) Sloan of Mountain View, Arkansas; one grandchild, Stacy (Mindy) Sloan; numerous friends and relatives.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her sister, Geneva Bangs; parents and her husband.
Graveside Services will be Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Case/East Richwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Roller Crouch was in charge of the arrangements.
