Karen James Davis, 76, of Batesville passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
She was born October 15, 1946 in Batesville, Arkansas to J.N. James and Dorothy McDoniel James.
Karen was a member of Believers Community Church. She was a Batesville High School graduate. She retired from Batesville Water Utility after 35 years. She attended real estate school, was a licensed real estate agent and she was also a member of Batesville Board of Realtors. She enjoyed reading, crafts, painting, antiquing, cats and Facebook.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Danny Davis, of the home; brother, Leonard James (Pat) of Batesville; sister-in-law, Vickie Davis Nann (Karl) of Leander, Texas; mother-in-law, Bernice Davis of Batesville; six nieces; two nephews and many other cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00am Friday, August 18, 2023 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with David Insell officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am Friday, August 18, 2023 just prior to service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her honor to the Humane Society of Independence County, 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501 or the Independence County Library, 267 E. Main Street, Batesville, AR 72501.

Danny, Leonard and family, I was so sorry to hear about Karen. I just found out. We had been friends since Eastside elementary. She always had a smile and was a very sweet person I was glad to have as a friend. God bless you.
