My thoughts and prayers are with Jack’s family during this most difficult time. I have known Jack and his family my whole life, and he was such a kind, caring, generous, and helpful man who cared about his community and the families and kids in it. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around his family and give them peace and comfort.

Jack was a good friend to me.
His sense of fairness was impressive and he could be tough when needed, everything a good officer should be in my opinion, I looked up to him and will miss him.

When we moved to Cotter from Missouri with our six girls, Jack helped us by keeping a watch on them and keeping them safe. He was always so friendly and had a good heart but he could be tough when he had to be. The first year we were there Jack arranged help for us at Christmas. He will be missed.

To Drew, Jill and the rest of the family. I am sadden by the passing of Jack. He was a great man and had a great impact on my life. Growing up in Cotter everyone knew and loved Jack. He took care of all us kids. There was probably a few times growing up that if it wasn’t for Jack I probably would of ended up in a lot worse trouble ( deservingly) if it wasn’t for him. He will be truly missed. Thank you for your service to our little community and to our country. Rest in Peace my friend.

It was an honor to work along side Jack, as I dispatched for the County. Jack would come to dispatch every once in a while and would talk to us like he had known us forever. Jack was genuine, honest, and a man of integrity. Jack left a legacy as Cotter’s Police Chief that will never be matched. Jack you will be missed-Brent Weaver
