Sharon Darnell Powell passed away peacefully on Monday, August 14, 2023. She was born April 24, 1946 in Gassville, Arkansas to James and Theo Stafford.
She was the head cook at Cotter Public School for many years. She enjoyed quilting and painting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gene Powell.
She is survived by her sons, Donald (Paula) Powell and Jeff (Quana) Powell; brother, Ricky: sisters, Ramona and Judy; grandchildren, Donnie Jr., Travis, Nikki, Jessica, Dayna and Natalie and great grandchildren, Lexi, Casey, Remington, Swayze, Kase, Kale and Haley.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Roller Funeral Home.
I just heard of Mrs. Powell’s passing. I’m so sorry to hear this. I have many fond memories of Sharon and Gene. My mom worked with Sharon for many years at Cotter School and my dad worked with Gene at the post office. Both Gene and Sharon were great people. My condolences to the family.
