James Wyatt Mason, 73, of Jonesboro, AR passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at his home. James was born on August 27, 1949 to Frank and Juanita (Wyatt) Mason in Cape Girardeau, MO. For 45 years, James was a hearing aid specialist who owned and operated his own company before retiring. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He loved being a member of the Fast Glass Corvette Club and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Dewayne; brothers, Lester Wallace, Thom Hodgkiss and David Wallace and sisters, Nellie Crow, Jewel Kirby and Donna Wallace.
Those left to cherish the memory of James include his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda; his sons, James (Shannon) Mason Jr., Dennis (Donna) Mason and Jeff (Ashlee) Mason; his daughters, Sheryna Mason-Chadwick and Jaylene Mason-Crawford; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary Jo Morris.
A funeral service will be held at 12 pm at Herman Baptist Church in Jonesboro on Friday, August 11, 2023 with Brother Randy Stimach officiating.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:30 am.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Paul Brooks, along with James's grandsons, Trip Crawford, Jay Mason, Logan Mason, Landon Mason, Jacob Crawford, Evan Henry and Justin Bey.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of James to St. Jude Research Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, Jonesboro.
I will miss you. You were always cool like Elvis Presley.
