Jackie W. Sorrells, (Big Jack), 76, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away peacefully Friday, July 28, 2023. He was born December 2, 1946 to Jack Sorrells and Vivian Sullivan Sorrells in Moro, Arkansas.
He was a member and Deacon of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Many people remember him from the years he worked as an insurance agent at Reliable Insurance. Later, many knew him from Broadway Flea Market. All will remember his good nature and friendly personality. He never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Casteel Sorrells, of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Doyle (Jeffery) of Forrest City, Arkansas, Annette Gruby (Keith) of West Memphis, Arkansas; son-grandson, Tyler Sorrells; granddaughters, Kali Doyle and Presley Doyle; two great-grandchildren, Asher Doyle, Sylas Doyle; two sisters, Winsel Harper and Peggy Casteel and one cousin that was like a brother, Bill Sullivan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lonnie Anderson and three sisters, Pauline Ward, Juanita Martin and Agnes McNair.
Jackie loved riding the levee looking at deer, reading obituaries and playing bubble shooter.
Pallbearers will be Bill Sullivan, Keith Gruby, Jeffery Doyle, Clarence Barber, Freddie Houston and Bobby Huckaba.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 2:30P.M. at Loughridge Cemetery in Wynne, Arkansas. Visitation will be held at 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. Family and friends may view and sign online guestbook www.rollerfuneral homes.com/Marianna.
