Helen Marie Carter, 80, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away on July 24, 2023. She was born on April 22, 1943 to Roger and Veda Carter. A native of Ozark, Arkansas, she graduated from Ozark High School in 1961 before attending College of the Ozarks on a band scholarship, serving as majorette in the marching band. In 1964, she moved to Little Rock for a job with KAAY radio, where she met her future husband. Over the next 59 years she spent her life raising four children, entertaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren and serving as a missionary in Central America. Her spirit lives on through the many lives she touched in her time on earth.
She is survived by three sons, Jeff (Lori) Pitcock, Chris (Andreae) Pitcock both of Little Rock and Len (Kathleen) Pitcock of Hot Springs, Arkansas and her loving daughter, Sandy (Rob) McAuley of Dallas, Texas. She will be especially missed by her 7 grandchildren, Brigid Chapman, Madison Pitcock, Shelby Martin, J.R. McAuley, Rogers Pitcock, Carter Pitcock, Kapi Pitcock and her four great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roger Frank Carter and Alan Ray Carter.
A private graveside service will be held in Ozark, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Faith United Methodist Church in Little Rock.

Helen was a great friend from our long time neighborhoods and church. She has always been a loving mother-in-law to my daughter. She will be missed by so many.
