Alice Marie Barker, age 85, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 in Marion, Arkansas. Marie was born on Wednesday, June 1, 1938 in Indianola, Mississippi to the late Ernest Blaylock and Lillie Mae Mixon. Marie married Lewis "Dan" Barker on Saturday, August 29, 1959 and remained married until his passing in January 1998.
Mrs. Marie is survived by two grandchildren, Rhonda Earls (Jason), Tommy Howie (LeeAnn); five great grandchildren, Bentley Foley, Alden Earls, Brinley Earls, Kraven Howie, Daniel Howie and three sisters, Ernestine Johnston (Buddy), Betty Blaylock and Thelma Blaylock.
Mrs. Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband; parents; one son, Lewis Daniel Barker; one daughter, Dana Marie Howie and two sisters, Lillie Bivens and Juanita Cook.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Brother Fred Garrison will be officiating.
