of Yellville, AR
August 29, 1961 - July 19, 2023
Michael Alan Alvey, 61, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
He was born August 29, 1961 to Michael Leon Alvey and Danita Lenora Lebleu in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
At an early age, Alan fell in love with rodeo and went on to become a bullrider. He then became a renowned welder, working his way up, becoming a welder foreman. After working tirelessly and diligently, he formed a successful pipeline company with his wife, Jeanna. Retiring in 2012, Alan moved to Yellville, Arkansas, where he and Jeanna built their dream farm. He spent his days happily working his cattle, horses and goats. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandkids play and laugh on the farm he built. Alan was an excellent and loving husband who did anything to provide for his family. He was a devoted father, a wonderful brother and a doting Pawpaw, who was so proud of his grandchildren. He could fix just about anything and was a real man in every sense of the word. He always had a solution to our problems and was a man of knowledge and wisdom. Alan was a kind friend and neighbor, who was always there to lend a helping hand with no expectation of anything in return. Those late-night conversations sitting in his rocking chair on his porch, sharing his many words of wisdom and lots of good laughter, will be greatly missed and forever treasured.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Marie Alvey of Yellville; son, Michael Cody Alvey and wife, Laryn of Aurora, Missouri; daughter, Josee Nicole Barousse and husband, Steven of Lake Charles, Louisiana and daughter, Allison Leigh Oswald of Flippin. He is also survived by grandkids, Peyton Barousse, Hawk Barousse, Cade Oswald, Barrett Alvey, Cooper Oswald, Boone Alvey and Madi and Macie Barousse. Alan is additionally survived by siblings, Sabrina Alvey, Victoria Alvey and Scottie Alvey all of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Leon Alvey; mother, Danita Lenora Lebleu and son in law, Cain Michael Oswald.
Visitation for Alan Alvey will be 12:00 to 2:00 pm Friday, July 28, 2023 at Victory Independent Baptist Church near Yellville.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 28, 2023 at Victory Independent Baptist Church with Bro. Kent Goodall officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Yellville.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Cody Alvey, Tony Clark, Robert Jackson, Blaise McCoy, Richard Morales and Thomas Lopez.

Alan, I will always remember our childhood relationship. Living next door, playing football in the yard till dusk. All the wonderful times we had, our families blessed to share that time together.
Of all your accomplishments in life, I am most grateful for your surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ and your baptism sealing your eternity. I look forward to our heavenly reunion where peace, joy and happiness will live forever. -Missy

I'm just a poor wayfaring stranger
Traveling through this world below
There is no sickness, no toil or danger
In that bright land to which I go
I'm going there to see my father
And all my loved ones, who've gone on
I'm just going over Jordan
I'm just going over home
I know dark clouds will gather 'round me
I know my way is hard and steep
But beauteous fields arise before me
Where God's redeemed their vigils keep
I'm going there to see my mother
She said she'd meet me when I come
So I'm just going over Jordan
I'm just going over home
I'm just going over Jordan
I'm just going over home
My condolences to the family.. We love y’all
