Ruth Sims, 90, of Clarksville died peacefully Thursday July 13, 2023 at home in Clarksville surrounded by her family. She was born in Clarksville to P. O. And Lizzie Holman. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Hobert Sims. Shortly after they married, they moved to California, Missouri and settled in Dallas, Texas for the next 40 years. While in Texas, Ruth worked for First National Bank of Dallas and Southland Corporation, she prepared taxes for many years. After retiring, they returned to Arkansas, where she worked at the pharmacy. She loved to sew, quilt and embroidery. She made many pillowcases for family and friends. Watching soap operas and Jeopardy were a few of her favorite pastimes. Ruth was a long time member of Second Baptist Church of Clarksville, AR and up until her death she was still sharing the good news of the love and saving power of Jesus to anyone she met.
She is preceded in death by her parents, P.O. and Lizzie Holman; her husband, Hobert Sims; three brothers, Donald, Cecil and Morris Holman and four sisters, Vivian and Tressie Holman, Eula Cole and Juanita Cole.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Sims and husband, Danny of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Robyn Westbrook and husband, Ryan of Whitesboro, Texas; one grandson, Tanner Sims and McKenzie of Dallas, Texas; five great grandchildren, Rua Westbrook, Rollie Westbrook, Robinson Westbrook, Reese Sims and Renley Sims; one sister-in-law, Betty Holman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 21 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22 at Second Baptist Church in Clarksville, followed by interment at Holman Cemetery in Lamar. Bro. Tom Dicus will officiate.

Brenda, what a wonderful legacy. I loved the Video. I thought about all the wonderful people she is rejoicing with in heaven. I feel so blessed to have spend time with her such a wonderful Christian lady that blessed me so much. I will miss her on this side but I know I will see her again.
