Earnest Delon Hallmark, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1945 in Cash to Jesse Dewayne and Onita Hallmark. Earnest was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ and he enjoyed washing cars, bad jokes, hunting, yard work and Dr. Pepper.
His parents preceded him in death along with three brothers, Dewayne Hallmark, Hal Hallmark and Leland Hallmark and two sisters, Melba Gooch and Theresa Barr.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Linda Hallmark; son, Earnest Delon (Cathy) Hallmark, Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Annette (Howard Andrew) Brodell; grandchildren, Amber, Christopher, Amelia, Catherine and Jenna and a brother, David (Sheri) Hallmark of Pocahontas.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Please consider memorials in Earnest's name to Washington Avenue Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Erine will be missed sorry for your loss. He was a good friend I met Ernie at Bob Bowlins Gas station when I worked at A&G Auto Parts and he would always be drinking his Dr.Pepper everytime He was Around. He was always joking around with me. I want to tell his son Don that your dad was a great guy and dont ever forget that.
I first met your Dad at Cracker Barrel! Always with you guys! He was so funny! I am praying that God Wraps his arms around you and your family Kim. He is rejoicing with Angels right now!! Saying that doesn't make it easier! If you need anything at all!!!

I'll always remember when he used to hang out at the service station on Huntington.
He was a christian man as anyone that knew him would agree.

I am sorry for your loss. I met Ernnie in 1971 when he was working for Jonesboro Lumber Company. He delivered building materials to me. I always enjoyed talking to him when I saw him. May he rest in peace.

I had the privilege of meeting and working with Ernie at Lowes. He always had a smile for everyone and managed to brighten some workdays. Over time I've also met his wife, Linda, children, son-in-law and grandchildren. I am thinking of you all and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
