Sharon Posey, 74, of Floral passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023.
She was born February 14, 1949 in Compton, California to William Richard Brinkley and Audie Cowen Dees.
Sharon was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She worked in retail sales for several years at Walmart and Yellow Front Market as Department Manager. She loved her family and all animals especially her dogs. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and bird watching. She excelled in English grammar and loved to read; she always purchased the book "Big Bad Billy Bug" for each grandchild.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Clayton of Floral; brother, Donald Brinkley of Gilbert, Arizona; four grandchildren, Courtni Middleton, Chelsie McCollum, Kimberly Smith and Kaitlynn Chrisco; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Brinkley; husband, David Posey; daughter, Sherri Edley; grandson, Robert Edley and granddaughter, Tara Nicole.
Pallbearers are Travis McCollum, Dustin Smith, James Chrisco, Adam Middleton, Jodie Chadwic and James Clayton. Honorary pallbearers will be David Layne Middleton, Kevin Moore and Kyler Garrett.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Crawford officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm Thursday, July 13, 2023 just prior to service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made in her honor to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 2255, Batesville, AR 72503 or to the Susan G. Comen Foundation, 904 Autumn Rd Suite 500, Little Rock, AR 72211.
