He was excited with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and was talking about what his Thanksgiving dinner would consist of and it must be all "homemade"!!! Dr. Stroud will be missed. I have known Doug all my life, we were classmates at Morrilton High School where he graduated in the top 10 of our class and I at bottom 10. After returning back to Arkansas after retiring from the military, Doug was my ENT doctor. He was an extremely amazing and compassionate doctor. My condolences to his life partner, family and friends. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure and honor of knowing. Rest in peace my dear friend.
I have admired Doug all my life. As his younger cousin, he lived with with my great-grandmother Morton, his Grandmother and parents in Morrilton.
His contributions to his church and to the numerous patiences served during his long term career will certainly be missed.
I knew Doug, as he was known then, in high school, then lost touch until my wife and I retired in 2013 and moved back to Arkansas. In need of a new ENT, I located Doug in Conway, and the help he gave me was phenomenal. I could see right away why he was so highly regarded by his patients and everyone in the medical community. He will be greatly missed as a doctor and as a genuinely good human being.
Dr. Stroud was an amazing physician and did great work for the community, and even those across the globe. He was great to work with and could always spark a conversation. Prayers to his family and friends.
I love dr stroud . He had the best bedside manner. He was a wonderful man. He delivered my oldest son , my 10 lb baby 21 in long . He will be missed by everyone who’s life he touched. Years later when he became an ent my son went to see him for some allergies . He told dr stroud who he was and he said he remember delivering him.
Doug was a great physician, friend, and business associate. I was a private practice Audiologist based in Little Rock with a satellite office in Conway, when he invited me to lease space from him in the late eighties. We worked together for about fifteen years. I know first hand that he was committed to providing the best care possible to his patients, always accessible, and charitable to those in need. He made a number of mission trips during his career to Guatemala, providing free surgical care to the underprivileged. They will miss him immensely, as will many, many of those he was privileged to serve in central Arkansas.
Doug loved God. He knew that if we simply believe that Jesus was the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, and was raised on the third day to newness of life, then we have the promise of eternal salvation. Doug is now in Glory, walking streets of gold and enjoying sights and sounds that we on earth can only imagine. Oh, what a Savior that gives us this most blessed assurance!
Rest in peace, my friend, until we meet again one day.

I was saddened to hear of Dr. Stroud’s passing. He came to Morrilton to do surgery and it was always a joy to work with him. He told me once he had a picture of himself taken in front of the old hospital that was taken right after his birth with one of the nuns holding him swaddled in a blanket. He will be missed.

Doug, as I go back over the many memories we shared together. As a neighbor and friend the times at the lake were so much fun, picking up rocks from the "beach" on Beaverfork! We cooked, played volleyball and many other things- thanks for the memories. I know you love the Lord and you will never be in pain again. May you fly with the Angels in Heaven, and remember how much you were loved.
