Myra Von Kanel Adams, age 80, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at her home. She was born on Wednesday, September 9, 1942 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Dan Von Kanel and Geraldine Watson Von Kanel. Myra enjoyed gardening and reading in her free time.
She is survived by her son, Dan Adams (Kate) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Raynie Presley (Eric) of Jacksonville, Florida, Clay Farrer (Allison) of Olympia, Washington, Devin Griffin (Haley) of Lake City, Arkansas, Mary Beth Warhurst (Aaron) of Ashland, Mississippi, Lydia Murchison (Adam) of Collierville, Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a niece and her sister, Sharon Griffin of Helena, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan Von Kanel and Geraldine Von Kanel; daughter, Dana Griffin and sister, Helen Ginn.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Central Cemetery in Lexa, Arkansas. Brother Bobbie Baker will officiate. Burial will follow after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Ms. Adams to Lexa Baptist Church.
