of Bee Branch, AR
June 27, 1925 - June 21, 2023
Louise Lankford, 97, of Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her home June 21, 2023. She was born on June 27, 1925 to Dewey and Eunice (Stark) McKim of Bee Branch, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon of 45 years and was the last of her five siblings. Louise was also preceded in death by two of her children, Larry and Johnny Lankford.
She had a large and loving family that gave her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and each one was just as special as the last. She lived for her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with her entire family. You could always find her doing puzzles, whether it was a jigsaw puzzle or later in life, crossword and word search puzzles. She loved traveling camping and fishing. If she could do any of these activities with family it was a perfect day. She lived to be a week shy of 98 years old and her life was a life well lived and well loved. The family takes solace in the fact that she now lives in her eternal home and can rejoice with her loved ones in Heaven.
Louise is survived by seven of her nine children: Roger (Gale) Lankford, Wayne (Mattie) Lankford, Jackie Lankford, Dwight (Donna) Lankford, Therman (Cindy) Lankford, Karen (Richard) Becker and Regina (Larry) Iburg.
Visitation services will be Friday, June 23, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Bee Branch Baptist Church in Bee Branch, Arkansas with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Bee Branch Cemetery.

From the family of Ellis and Bernice Ward. We are so sorry for the loss of Louise. We always loved, as kids, going to Aunt Tennies because we knew the Langford kids would be there. We loved these visits. I was so glad to see how many honored her at her funeral. Love and hugs🌹

I have known Louise and her entire family for most of my life. Lived next door to her and have always been a friend to the family. So sorry for your loss, God bless you all.
Sending love to the entire family. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend Granny’s services. I am needed to help with my son in law (he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease). I am sad that I won’t be able to be there to share my love and memories with you all. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Rest in peace, Louise, you will be missed
