Charlene H. Cash Moore, age 95, went to be with the Lord on June 15, 2023 after a series of falls and age-related causes, including the loss of sight from macular degeneration. She was born in Haskell, Arkansas and was a resident of Benton.
Charlene is survived by her two daughters, Pamela Lynn Moore Warrick, husband Stan and Cheryl Renee Moore Smith, husband, Stephen; five grandchildren, Justin Aaron Cash Warrick, wife, Rachel; Bryan Stanley Warrick, wife, Amanda; Michael Travis Warrick, wife, Elizabeth; Sabrina Lea Smith Velasquez, husband, Andy and Stephen Eugene Smith, girlfriend, Jenna and five great-grandchildren, Rory Warrick, Rayne Warrick, Luke Johnson, Jesse Warrick and Justin Vartan Cash Warrick. These are the ones that brought joy and smiles to her daily life, but not the only ones that considered her their Mom or their Nannan like the Dunning family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Moore; her parents, Jesse and May Cash; her sister, Estelle Eveline Cash Westerman; her brother, Eugene Lorance Cash; eight sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law that she considered immediate family. Mom would want to include the loss of her 14-year-old boxer and companion, "my Duke".
Charlene was a member of First Baptist Church of Benton, a member of the Eastern Star and a life-time member of the Historical Society of Saline County. She had a 30-year career as a teller at Benton State Bank. Mom was a talented seamstress, quilted, crocheted, tatted and did all kinds of crafting and bead-work. Most of all, Mom loved to travel and was an avid sports fan. Her seasons were Dallas Football, Yankee Baseball and the wintery season between the Super Bowl and Spring Training.
Funeral service will be June 18, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Benton, visitation at 1:00 p.m. followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery in Benton.
In lieu of flowers, family requests in-memory Gideon Bibles.
Sabrina, I can’t pretend to imagine how you feel right now, knowing how important your Nannan was to you. You scheduled your work days around her appointments. You made sure your schedule was filled with as much Nannan as you could get. Even if it was just a milk shake trip. You will be thankful that you made all of those wonderful memories with her. Love you and I’m only a phone call away. ALWAYS.
sorry for your loss didnt know about it until today
She was a sweet lady well loved I knew from the time I was 3 up to now we were neighbors
Sabrina, our family is so sorry for your loss. Your family will always be in our thoughts. I know your Nannan was your person.
We love you,
Brandi and Andrew.
Praying for Pam and Cheryl who have been so devoted to their mom. Also, praying for the grandchildren. She was such a special lady in my life. Our story goes back way before I was born to the special bond she had with my brother, mom, and dad. She was at the hospital when I was born two years after my brother died. I loved her dearly and she thought I could do no wrong. I have been so blessed to have her in my life. So very sad she will not be there for our family but I know she is in a much better place with all her loved ones that she missed so much! Love you always Charlene and I will always have a special place in my heart for you!!!
Love,
Ron and Kaye
She was part of my family even though we weren’t related. We have such a long history starting with being a friend of my brother, mom and dad and being there for my birth 2 years after my brother had died. She has been my biggest fan throughout my life. Life is going to be so different without her support. She was always so positive and thought the world of my whole family and was always there will such good advice. My mom and dad always loved her. Praying for Pam and Cheryl who have always been so good to take care of their mom. She loved all of her family so much. Praying for you all!!!
A mother's love lives on in all you do in her memory. Share the stories, share the laughter, always remember. God Bless this family
