Julian Leon Beene, 90, of West Memphis, AR passed away on June 15, 2023 in West Memphis, AR.

Julian was born on December 2, 1932 in Mantachie, MS to Mr. John Allen Beene and Mrs. Florence Christin Been.

He enjoyed the agriculture industry. He loved farming and crop dusting. He was also a salesman and cotton gin manager.

His faith was important, with his church membership at First United Methodist Church. He had a servant's heart, participating in several things. Preceding him in death was his wife, Margurite; sisters, Shirley Beene Morris and Louise Beene and one brother, L.T. Beene.

I just heard the news about Mr. Leon. This makes me so sad. He was one of my all time favorites at Crittenden County Farm Bureau. I lovingly called him “Leon the Peon.” He always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone he met. Prayers for all who loved him and that is a whole lot of people.

To the family: Leon was a fine man. 72 and 73 years ago I blocked for him and he made the touchdown for the Hughes Blue Devils. You are in my prayers....RG

What joy there must be in Heaven now that Leon and Marguerite are together again and in God’s presence! They were such a wonderful example of what a happy marriage can be but Larry and I are sorry for the loved ones who will miss them so.
May God bring you comfort and peace in the days to come without them.
