of Salesville, AR
March 18, 1937 - June 14, 2023
Reba Mae Ashley Long of Salesvllle, Arkansas passed away at her home on June 14, 2023. Reba was a friend to all, an amazing mother and grandmother, with a loving spirit that she shared with everyone who crossed her path.
Reba was born on March 18, 1937 in Memphis, TN to Earl and Francis (Rahm) Ashley. Both of her parents precede her in death. In addition to her parents, Reba is preceded in death by her husband, Benny Long; siblings, Grey Ashley and Toni Ashley Thompson; sons, Jay Long and Joey Campbell Long and grandsons, Joey Curtis Long and Joshua Welch.
Reba is survived by her children, Terri Chapman, Cindy Long, Lisa Long, Drew Long and Grey Long. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Long, Ty (Crystal) Chapman, Cory (April) Welch, John Crews, Ashley (Brad) Poush, Courtney Curtis, Jessica Long and Charley Curtis.
Reba was an amazing woman who raised her seven children with great love. She loved everyone and in return, was loved by all who knew her. This love came back in dividends as she was surrounded by family and friends at the end of her life. She loved spending time with her family, along with her Tunica trips, where she could always be found on a Keno machine. She was witty, kind and loving. Her family will always admire the woman she was and how she approached the world with kindness to everyone and will work to carry on her legacy.
Reba's life will be celebrated Saturday, June 17th at Roller Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm and a short service will be held at 3:00pm.
Reba's family appreciates the incredible support that was provided by Hospice of the Ozarks and asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to that organization which made certain she was comfortable in her final days.
Prays for All of You at this time.
