Aunt Veda, a few weeks ago you called me out of the blue. It was very odd because really spoke on the phone. After we had spoken for nearly an hour, I still didn't know the real reason for the call. When I asked if you needed something you said that you were only returning two missed calls from me! I checked my phone to see if I had made any accidental calls to you, and there were none. As I said then, someone felt we needed to talk to each other. I'm so thankful we did.
Just the other day, Aunt Lois told me that you used to sneak home from school to be with my dad when he was a baby. I guess you snuck off to be with him again. I love you.
Our pretty bat, oh how we will miss you so much. You are at peace now. No longer in pain. This is not goodbye, but till we see each other again. Love you pretty bat.

Veda was a special lady. Tough as nails and sweet as sugar. She gave her all to help anyone that needed her. Rest in peace sweet sister!
I’ll always remember her laughing and her silly entertaining moves/actions. Veda’s strength to persevere was extraordinary. She loved and always wanted the best for her family. Special people are placed in our path for a purpose, whether it’s a lesson for us or to continue that strength in all of us…family and friends. I will never forget what God placed in my path when He created Veda Mae.
Veda's love and thoughtfulness for our family will always be a part of our memories. All the times spent on the porch enjoying the stories and the love. I love and miss her. My prayers for each one of
