Blanche Janette Henley Love, age 92, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022. She was born in St. Joe, Searcy County, Arkansas, daughter of James Jackson Henley and the former Eula Florence McElroy. She was formerly married to Mosco William Love, Jr. also of St. Joe, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Henley; and her sisters, Vera Bowman and Virginia Redford.
Blanche graduated from Arkansas State University with a BS in Education. She had a Master's degree in Education from Louisiana State University in New Orleans (LSUNO). She also had a Master's plus 30 hours in education from LSU Baton Rouge. She served two terms as president of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was the consummate educator during her education career of thirty plus years. Following the career of her husband, she lived and worked in New Jersey, Hawaii, South Carolina, Florida, and Louisiana. Her favorites were Oahu, Hawaii and New Orleans, Louisiana. She was proud of her Henley roots in northwest Arkansas.
She was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend who loved cooking, sewing, and books. She had a kind and generous heart full of compassion and empathy for others. She often willingly and with good attitude leant her ear to family and friends. And she was fun! She generously volunteered her time and knowledge to various organizations.
She is survived by her daughter, LaVonne Love Dube', of Miami, Florida; her sisters, Nelda Dixon of Ft. Worth, Texas and Blaine Ferrell of Lakeview, Arkansas; and her eight nieces and nephews. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
