Mildred Pauline Lease, 97, of Clarksville died Friday, May 5, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born July 23, 1925 in Roe to Harold and Mary Ella (Clark) Slaughter. Mildred was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and tending flowers. She was also a devout member of the Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earnest Lease; her parents, Harold and Mary Slaughter and one brother, Carl Slaughter.

Mildred is survived by two sons, Richard Lease and Johnny W. Lease; one daughter, June Griffith; three grandchildren, Russell Mize, Rebecca Williams and Cathy Lease and several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9 at Trinity Chapel Pentecostal Church of God in Clarksville, followed by burial at Minnow Creek Cemetery. Pastor Joe Lancaster will officiate.
