Don Gray, III, 71, Pickerington, OH went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 12, 2022. He was born September 23, 1951, in Hattiesburg, MS to the late Jesse Donald Gray, Jr and Annie Jean (Triggs) Gray. Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Beth Gray.
Don was a Southern Baptist, served in the Airforce, worked for Tom's Toasted Peanuts at Gray's Distributing with his father, and for General Motors to retire as a Service Manager. Don was an avid reader who loved history, playing golf, and drag racing. He was an expert restorer of old military guns and motorcycles. Don never met a stranger, and his unmatched sense of humor was cherished by all. Don always looked forward to being with his children, his grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. Don was a loving, attentive husband, caring father, and grandfather. Don loved his family deeply and enjoyed reminiscing about his wonderful childhood growing up a mile from both sets of grandparents in Glendale, MS.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Evans) Gray, his children Katie Gray, Luke Gray, Brittni (Gray) Woodward, and Jeri McNac. Don enjoyed being grandfather to 8 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Don is also survived by his sister, Nelda Reed (Steve), brother, Robin Gray (Deana), brother/sister's in-law Teresa Pool, Janet Ginn (Randy) and Michael Evans. There are many nieces, nephews and cousins who Don deeply cherished.
A celebration of his life will be held at Bee Branch Cemetery in Bee Branch, Arkansas at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023.
