Mary Francis Oldham

of North Little Rock, AR

May 22, 1933 - April 27, 2023

Mary Francis Oldham, 89, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on April 27th, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her sons, Kevin McNulty, Michael McNulty (wife, Karen McNulty), Peter McNulty, Larry Oldham, Tim Oldham and Phillip Oldham. She had 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mary was born on May 22, 1933 to Roy and Ethel Edwards in Holland, Arkansas. She brought joy and laughter to Roy and Ethel. After graduating from Hayti, Missouri High School, she enrolled in Nursing School in 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating Nursing School, she went to work at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In later life, she received an Associate degree in Nursing, became a registered RN, and finally received a MS in Nursing. By the end of her medical career, she was the Director of Nursing at Baptist Hospital in Blytheville Arkansas.

She met her husband, John B. McNulty (a returning WW2 Veteran) at a social function sponsored by the Nursing School / Hospital. They fell in love and were married on September 4th, 1954. They spent their married life enjoying their children, church functions, volunteering, and camping trips.

Mary was extremely proud of being a nurse. She dedicated her entire career to the care of others, volunteering for medical mission trips to Ghana, Africa and other countries.
She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville and in North Little Rock, Arkansas. With her second husband, she attended the Henderson Church of Christ. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports, cooking and baking, and sewing. Her pies, Christmas candy, and lasagna were loved by everyone. She loved having holiday meals with all the family, relatives and friends. Mary was a dedicated mom to all her children, raising all four of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Mary. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill.

After the death of her first husband, she met and married Reeder Nolen Oldham. They spent many years traveling, enjoying grandchildren, and helping with their church in Henderson Tennessee.

Mary was preceded by her first and second husband; her parents; her brother, Paul Max Edwards; and her son, John B McNulty Jr.

Rosary will be said on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. with a visitation to follow till 8:00 P.M., at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 4th, at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fr. John C. Wakube as Celebrant.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the entire family during this difficult time. I had the privilege to sit with Ms Mary and spend some precious time with her, and I know that she lived a very enriched and full life. She was a beautiful soul and had so much joy in her heart for her family, friends and for the Lord. She will be missed here on this Earth, but we can rejoice that she is now in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
